At Zanna Cookhouse, we were proud to celebrate our 17th anniversary on May 12, 2024. From our humble beginnings during the Irish recession in 2007, we have grown into a thriving family business known for our innovation, resilience, and commitment to the local community. Founded by Owen and Lorna, our journey began with a passion for food and a vision to create delicious, high-quality dishes using locally sourced ingredients. Their son David joined the team a few years later, bringing fresh ideas and energy to the business.

Our Story
Zanna Cookhouse is a small artisan family run business founded in 2007 by Owen and Lorna Mullins. After 28 years in transport, Owen left his job to pursue his passion for food and cooking. He studied at Ballymaloe cookery school where he trained by day and worked by night at Ballymaloe House. Owen and Lorna started making quiches and pies in their own kitchen, to sell at the local farmers market while Owen was still cheffing with Kevin Dundon at Dunbrody Country House. Their son David, Joined the family business having graduated from ATU, Galway with a Bachelor of Business Honours Degree in Hotel & Catering Management.
